LAEVOLAC is very effective for chronic constipation. This solution encourages normal bowel movement. For use in habitual constipation, portal systemic encephalopathy, hepatic coma & precoma.      

Active Ingredients:

Lactulose solution BP 3.34g/5ml  

Dosage:

Habitual Constipation:
Initially:15-45 ml as a single dose
Maintenance: up to 45 ml in divided doses

Portal Systemic Encephalopathy, Hepatic coma & precoma:
Initially: 30-50 ml 3 times daily
Subsequently adjusting dose to produce two or three loose stools per day.
